Hulshout Belgium-Junior Race

In the Junior Race over 6.4k; Lachlan Oates and Andrew Dearie of Shettleston and Grant Muir of Giffnock North AAC were the athletes selected. Given the age gaps between these athletes it was always going to be interesting to see how they fared against one another. In a very close race with Lachlan in the lead pack for the majority of the race, he finished 6^th , in 20.27, only being beaten in the late stages of the race by the other athletes. Grant finished 10^th place in 21.07 considering the r ace was over-distance for the Under 17 athletes, this was impressive running.
