Young Athletes 3×800m Scottish Championships Grangemouth 13 June
In the 2010 National 800m Relay Championships, the U/13 girls team of Amy Harkins, Jill Cherry and Casey Alexander were just caught before the line by Falkirk. The gold medal went to the girls U/15 team of Myrtle Breckenridge ,Laura Penrice and Mhairi Hendry when they won by 100m from Giffnock North - see photo below.....
Indoor League Final
This weekend was the final of the young athletes indoor league. Our U/15 girls team of Lisa Thompson , Nicole McCann, Kerri Haran, Nicola Mackay, Hannah Heggarty, Lisa Walker and Myrtle Breckenridge battled hard to finish 4th overall.
In the supporting relays the girls U/17 team finished 3rd -Alana Sinclair, Amanda Monaghan, Taylor Marrs and Stella Winters.
Shannon wins 2009 handicap and makes club history book
Shannon McLellan made club history by winning the 2009 Christmas Handicap in the worst conditions most could remember. Shannon cruised the traditional Mount Vernon course in a blizzard to beat 20 other runners who all should be congratulated for finding the finish!
Shannon's time was 19.04 mins, ahead of Vet winner John Oates 17.34 both being tracked in the home straight by Ken McCoy who clocked the fastest time of the day at 15.06.

Indoor League success
